Loose Skin After Weight Loss

KATE HUDSON'S LOOSE SKIN
Here’s Kate running down the beach with the bottom half of her tummy hanging. Lots of people have a hard time tightening loose skin.

After giving birth to son Ryder, Kate Hudson hired two personal trainers to help her lose the 60 pounds of pregnancy weight. Although she admits it was tough, she worked out 2-3 hours per day, six days a week. Her diet regimen consisted of smaller meals spread throughout the day, consisting of higher protein foods and restrictions on certain carbohydrates such as grains and some fruits. Her intensive exercise and dieting helped her shed the weight in four months. Once again there’s that eating small meals throughout the day and eating a diet consisting of high protein foods and little carbohydrates.


LOOSE SKIN
When someone are overweight, the skin stretches to accommodate the increased volume of weight. After weight loss, the skin sometimes fails to tighten back, and becomes loose, hangs or sags. It often acts as a reminder of the weight you once had.


Unfortunately, this may be difficult if not impossible to remove through normal exercise or dieting. If you are young enough, the loose skin may regain some of it's elasticity. If you are older (and overweight for a long time prior to losing weight) the loose skin is likely to remain.
This A-list Hollywood star spared no expense when it came to shedding pregnancy weight.

GAIN MUSCLE
This means working on the ratio of your body fat to lean body mass. You should gain muscle to replace some of those lost pounds while preventing loss of lean body mass when dieting - This will dramatically improve loose skin from appearing.
